Can I bulk import guests?
You can quickly add guests in bulk by using the guest import feature. Here's how:
Step 1: Download the Template
Click the Download Template button in the import dialog to download a pre-formatted spreadsheet. This file contains the correct column headers and an example row.
Step 2: Fill in Your Guests
Each row represents a guest. Required and optional fields include:
- Group Name (optional).
i.e. The Smith Family
If a guest is part of a family, couple, or group, use the same Group Name for each guest in that group.Group Name refers to who is attending together (e.g. “The Smith Family”), not a category like “Day guest” or “Evening guest”. For those categories, use Guest Tags in the UI after importing. - Guest Name (required).
This is how it will appear in their RSVP form, and in emails - Email (optional).
Used when sending e-cards - Tel (optional).
Stored for organisational purposes only.💡 To prevent spreadsheets from removing the leading 0, type an apostrophe ' before the number, like '07912345678. This tells the spreadsheet to treat the number as plain text
- Address (optional).
Stored for organisational purposes only. - Offer Plus One (optional — "Yes" or "No")

Step 3: Save As .csv
After filling in the template, make sure to save or export the file as .csv format. This is required for uploading.
Step 4: Upload the File
Click Import Guests .csv and select your completed file. The system will validate it before importing.
Troubleshooting
- Each guest must have a name — any missing names will cause the upload to fail.
- Be sure the file is saved as
.csv
. - Keep the column headers exactly as they are in the template — changing the headers will prevent the file from being uploaded correctly
That’s it! Once uploaded, your guests will be grouped automatically and appear in your Guest Management list. If you run into issues, double check the format or reach out via support.
