Hey Wedding Day

Can my guests use a QR Code?

QR codes are a modern and simple way for couples to share their wedding website with guests.

A QR code is a scannable code that contains your website URL. Guests can scan it using their phone’s camera and be taken directly to your wedding website.

To create and download your QR Codes just follow these steps:

1. Customise Your QR Code

Before downloading, you can fully customise the look of your QR codes. Choose a visual style (dots, squares, rounded), pick your foreground/background colours, and even select the appropriate size depending on how you’ll use it (e.g. invites vs posters).

You can access these settings from the "Customise" tab in the QR Code tool.

2. Create and Download.

On Hey Wedding Day, you can download three types of QR codes:

  • A single Wedding Website QR Code for all guests.
  • Multiple RSVP QR Codes – one for each guest party.
  • A Custom Link QR Code – perfect for linking to things like gift registries, photo galleries, or videos.

All QR codes are downloaded as a high quality .png image.

Single Wedding Website QR Code

This option generates one QR code that links to your wedding website homepage. Ideal for printed invites or save-the-dates.

If you're using the RSVP feature, guests will need to either search their name or use a passcode to access their RSVP. You can also enable RSVP Name Search to make this easier.

Multiple RSVP QR Codes

Want each party to scan a QR code that takes them straight to their RSVP, with no passcode or searching needed? This is for you.

Once you’ve toggled on the "QR Codes per Party" feature in the RSVP settings, head to the download tab to download them individually or all of them as a ZIP file.

Custom Link QR Code

Use this option to generate a QR code that links to anything: a honeymoon fund, video message, Google Maps location, or gift registry. Just paste in your link and download.
